I finished my first piece of "artwork" today. It took me working on and off all day to finish it. I used a few deviations as references and did a little collage of my favorite sea life. And I even learned something in the process! To post quality deviations, you have to be a decent artist, photographer, and Photoshop-er. Scanning line art? Yeah, not so easy. I spent an extra hour re-drawing the entire thing (well, tracing) to darken the lines so that they would show up. That still wasn't good enough. I'm starting fresh with a new account, hooked up to an e-mail which actually exists, with favorites which are actually my favorites. I want to start actually creating instead of just drooling all over everyone else's art. I've only ever been an off-and-on creative type. I used to love to draw when I was a kid (nothing special there). I was hugely into creative writing for a few years. I've never really stuck with anything because I've never had any sort of pride in my work.
